About

It can be difficult to see your child struggle to go to school, play with friends or get through their daily life. The idea of taking your child to counseling might sound scary to you or your child. I can assure you that I will do my best to ensure that you and your child feel comfortable in the therapeutic process.

My name is Jeanette Razo-Gonzalez and I am a bilingual (Spanish speaking) Licensed Clinical Social Worker #75752. I am also a Registered Play Therapist #T3762. My approach is to meet your child where they’re at and engage them with techniques that make therapy fun and are effective. I will ensure that I do my best to make you and your child feel safe and understood.

My experience includes:
-working with school-age children
-working with teens on probation
-school settings
-community clinic settings
-working with families
-providing parent support/guidance
-working with victims of domestic violence
-working with foster families

The techniques I use are:
Play Therapy: a safe approach for children and adolescents who are hesitant to engage in the traditional talk therapy or don’t have the words/vocabulary to express themselves.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): a treatment approach that is effective for relieving distress that is caused by traumatic memories.

Both approaches are effective in helping people heal.
